Welcome to Fallada
Fallada was the first centre for horses rescued from cross border transportation to the slaughterhouse. Since 1994, this horse farm has housed over 60 horses on 50 hectares (124 acres) of land and in large stables. It is also an alternative refuge for over 50 dogs. In recent years, a 50-member flock of ducks and geese has gradually moved in.
This property is owned by our Polish foundation Fundacjia Pro Animale dla Zwierzat w Potrzebie
(Founded by Pro Animale für Tiere in Not e. V. Germany)

In “Fallada”, however, an idea became reality …
The idea to buy death candidates free from the slaughter animal transports or to intervene on the slave market before their loading.
Millions of guiltless animals for slaughter are driven daily before our eyes on barbaric death transports across Europe. For one single reason: to satisfy the excessive greed for profit of the meat mafia and its masterminds!
Since 1994, Pro Animale has maintained the only rescue center for horses from death transports in Europe.
We have followed the hot spots of the brutal events throughout Poland, from western to northern Poland – on to southern and eastern Poland.
In 26 years we have built seven shelters for horses from the death transports:
Fallada – Spartacus – Sussita Kumi – Samaria I – Samaria II – Karpno – Delcia Natural.
To date we have rescued 541 horses from the galleys. Today – after 26 years 370 horses live a free and protected horse life in our Polish stations.
This truly enormous success of our campaign is based on the willingness of our Pro Animale friends to finance the purchase of one of the animals from the death transports, or to take over a sponsorship for one of our horses. We are urgently asking for help so that we can provide sanctuary for more death transports!
