Sorriso di San Francesco

Our refuge is located in the valley where, according to legend, St. Francis of Assisi met the talking wolf of Gubbio. Incidentally, it is the only species-appropriate refuge in Assisi. Since 1997, we have been sheltering over 120 animals (horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, sheep and goats).
