Nilgün received an emergency call from the forestry office in Canakkale saying that a donkey from Lapseki was suffering from unimaginable pain due to an open fracture of the leg and was standing on a highway. The animal had to be rescued immediately and brought to safety, and only Pro Animale and Nilgün Varos were the last resort for this donkey. Of course we immediately agreed to take the donkey in – the forestry office of Canakkale organised the transport of the presumably pregnant donkey to us in Yasam Vadisi.
