Once, as a very small puppy, I was fondled and carried around – suddenly I fell ill with an unbearably itchy skin disease, lost my fur, was no longer beautiful to look at and so my humans threw me out onto the street and left me to face all the dangers there. I was chased and attacked by the other older street dogs. I was terrified and ran for my life until, thank heaven, I was taken into the arms of Nilgün. Now I am finally safe. Nilgün takes care of me and gives me medicine, and the biting itch has already eased a little. In addition, I am now being cuddled by my best friend Toprak, the son of the head veterinary nurse at our veterinary clinic in Altinoluk.
