The dwarf goat Augustin (4 years old) was to be disposed of as an unwelcome birthday present. When we learned of this impending fate, we acted immediately. Today Augustin lives a happy goat life in his new family.
We also learned of the tragic fate of an elderly gentleman who had become a nursing case, had not been able to take care of his household for a long time and kept two very old dogs with him. His family did not seem to really care about the two dog children, and of course we immediately promised the dog seniors Winnie (12 yrs) and Susi (15 yrs) shelter in our sanctuary Pastorale in Austria.
