Our italian sanctuary ‘Sorriso di San Francesco’ – Rescue of Zoe and Rudy

Zoe (5 yrs) was seized by the Veterinary Office from her first owner for abuse and was subsequently taken to the shelter.
From there her life seemed to change and she was adopted by a nice man. Unfortunately, his two German Shepherds did not accept Zoe and attacked her, forcing him to take her back to the shelter. Then the unfortunate Zoe was adopted again by another family and lived with them for about two years. The family unfortunately couldn’t give Zoe the time and attention she needed, they were out of the house all day and Zoe was alone in the flat until the evening, with no garden and no possibility to move freely, so she destroyed everything and was always stressed. Zoe needs space to run, play, sniff …. and then a warm cuddly place to rest. Now she has everything she needs at Pro Animale and Zoe is happy.

A hunter had grown tired of his hunting dog and brought the pathetic, battered Rudy (2 yrs) to us.
