Rescued from a life on the chain

In the late autumn of life – we took in 9 very poor and needy old souls from our programme for former chain dogs and the little adorable Pola.

Welcome to our Doris Zinn shelter:

Puszek (16) has very slight cauda equina, too big a heart and is a quiet old boy.
Neron (12) is a power labrador, still high on running and at about 35kg a pretty big guy. Unfortunately he has massive gonarthrosis which can be improved considerably by TPLO surgery. As soon as there is room here for the aftercare, the surgery is on due. Until then, he is on painkillers and Cardalis because of the excessive cardiac index.
Saba (11) is the shepherd dog with the hip dislocation on the left. She is on the urgent surgery schedule because of the cruciate ligament rupture on the right. She also has ED on the right side – currently on painkillers. A very lively bitch. It would be great if we could find a sponsor for her to cover the costs of the operation (total for all steps approx. 1500 €)! If she is kept well, someone can easily have a faithful friend with her for another 4-5 years, who will walk almost painlessly after the operations.Maniek (15) primarily has glaucoma, which still flares up – with medication we have so far been able to avoid removal, but it may still be necessary if the eye pressure can no longer be lowered. He also has lumbar spine syndrome and DCM.
Krecik (13) does not see well anymore, so he is a bit shy around strangers. He has hypothyroidism and DCM.
Perła (15) has ischialgia (cauda equina very slightly only..), hypothyroidism and cardiac dilatation.
