Mishka also comes from our program for former chain dogs. Our refuge inspector was called because the dog was obviously suffering pain. The x-ray showed a spinal injury and so we asked Mishka’s owners to let us take care of her in order to provide her with adequate veterinary care. They agreed immediately because they did not want to take care of a sick dog anymore.
