The "sunrise" for former dog prisoners.
Since December 2004, Pro Animale has been fully responsible for running this refuge housing more than 140 dogs. The property is owned by the neighbouring communities and includes five hectares (12.5 acres) of land.
We won the tender for the original municipal dog pound by renouncing all national and municipal subsidies. However, since 2019 we have been receiving financial support from the surrounding communities.
Current information
We currently provide for
126 dogs collected from the streets.
We have 11 employees working here in full and part time. The average maintenance costs amount to € 21,000 per month.
We receive an average of € 2,130 from Star Money and sponsorships.
